What is the Playgroup Like?
Each session is 45 minutes of guided, play-based immersion — that 45 minutes includes a bonus 15 minutes of open play at the end. Sessions are conducted in Mandarin by native and heritage-speaking instructors. Sessions follow a consistent format week to week so children and caregivers always know what to expect.
🎵 Songs & Play. Music and language share the same neural pathways. Children absorb Mandarin naturally through songs, movement, and sensory play — the way young brains are wired to learn.
👨👩👧 Caregiver-Present. You're in the room, on the floor, playing alongside your child — and picking up a little Mandarin yourself along the way. No Mandarin experience needed. We'll support you every step of the way.
🎓 Research-Informed. Every curriculum decision is grounded in second language acquisition research and early childhood development. Naturalistic exposure, not pressure or performance.
🎁 Take It Home. Every session includes a handcrafted take-home activity, a private playlist of the session's songs and vocabulary recordings, and a short resource guide with simple ideas to keep Mandarin alive between sessions.
